Coimbra Old Cathedral, also known as Sé Velha de Coimbra is one of the main attractions of the city. This cathedral is a Romanesque construction from 1139, during the reign of Afonso Henriques. Considered one of the most important Romanesque Roman Catholic structures. Also, the only one built during the Reconquista, after the Battle of Ourique that stills just the same. It is a national treasure. Its door’s like the entrance of a fortress. In its interior, you will find an impressive place with massive columns.
