Évora Cathedral
Évora Cathedral, or as it is locally known Sé de Évora. It is the largest medieval cathedral in Portugal and you can see its silhouette from very far away. It is on the highest part of the town, nearby some other important monuments as the Roman Temple. This Cathedral dates from 1250 and it is completely made of granite. Its style assumes the transition between romantic and gothic styles. The exterior dome is one of the most amazing architectural features of this structure. Also in the interior, you can see the three great naves. Évora Cathedral includes a Religious Art Museum with a rich collection in the areas of ecclesiastic garments, painting, sculpture, and jewelry. Don’t miss the opportunity to go up, and enjoy one of the best views over the city.
